September in Kibale National Park – Chimpanzee Trekking & Cultural Experiences

September stands between the dry and wet seasons. It ends the dry days and welcomes October, which is a rainy month. The temperatures are good, ranging from 26°C to 27°C during the day, while at night they drop to around 14°C to 15°C, giving visitors a good stay.

September is a dry month that helps you learn more about Kibale National Park. When you take time to sit with the local people, they may narrate to you how they were once expelled from the park because of reasons like wildlife population decline.

They may also talk about their culture, such as women being inferior to their husbands, or show you their local dishes and their strong love for cattle.

Since the land is dry and the skies are clear, you can choose to go camping. The tents are built on wooden platforms. Even though they are tents, they are very helpful and come with bedding and lights.

You are advised to do research on the tour company you want to trust with your trip before making any payment. Read both the good and bad reviews, then decide.

The tour company should book with the park and pay the entry fees and for the park activities to the Wildlife Authority, or you can pay when you arrive.

The tour operator should also explain the dos and don’ts while in Uganda and tell you how you will travel to reach the park.

Note that Kibale gets many visitors during this time of the year, so making early reservations will help you avoid missing out. Also, keep your permits safe when they are given to you.

Kibale National Park is an amazing place. Visit it this September to enjoy nature.
